# Manage Preferences

This page explains how to configure your timezone and language preferences in Contentstack. It is intended for users who want to personalize how timestamps and content appear in their account. Use this when you need to adjust regional or language settings at the user level.

Note: Managing timezone and language preferences is a plan-based feature and may not be available to all users. Contact the Contentstack support team for more details.

You can configure your timezone and default language from the Preferences section in your profile settings. These settings apply at the user level and affect only how content and timestamps are displayed for your account. They do not impact other users or stack-level configurations.

To set a default timezone or language preference, log in to your Contentstack account and perform the following steps:

1. Click your profile initials.
2. Select Profile Settings.
3. Click Preferences. 
4. In the Time Zone section, select your preferred timezone from the dropdown, and click Save.

Note: The selected timezone determines how timestamps are displayed across the platform. Click Reset to revert to the organization’s default timezone. 

5. In the Set Language section, select a default content language, and click Save.

Note: The selected language is used across stacks by default. You can override this setting for specific stacks using Add Stack-specific Language. Click Reset to revert to the default configuration. 

After configuring your timezone and language preferences, your Contentstack experience reflects your regional and language settings across the platform. You can update these preferences at any time or customize them further for specific stacks as needed.

## Common questions

**Does changing my timezone affect other users?**  
No, timezone settings apply only to your user account and do not impact other users.

**Can I revert to default settings after making changes?**  
Yes, you can click Reset to revert to the organization’s default timezone or language configuration.

**Will my language preference apply to all stacks?**  
Yes, by default. However, you can override it for specific stacks using stack-specific language settings.

**Can I update these preferences later?**  
Yes, you can modify your timezone and language preferences at any time.
